Well, if you are looking for something free to make you feel better then you should go see a good movie in the “comedy” category. You could also get together with some of your friends whose company keeps you upbeat and positive.
It says in the bible “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22
So my advice to you is to try changing your outlook on life (more positive) and laugh more. Sometimes you can watch a comedian or read a joke book. Magazines such as Reader’s Digest usually have a few pages of good “laughter is the best medicine.”
So, what does laughing do for you physically? It can lower your blood pressure, release endorphins (feel good hormones), decrease your stress hormones (cortisol), boost your T-cells (immune response) and work those abs (abdominal muscles). Lets face it, after a good “belly laugh” we all feel better!
I am married and live with my husband and our 2 adult children. My oldest son is 26 and our other son is 24. The dog's name is Ginny. My oldest son was born with Down Syndrome. He is also diagnosed with a type of autism, and deafness in one ear. He had graves disease which is now in remission. My other son has Asperger's syndrome. My husband was diagnosed in 2018 with Addison's disease (rare adrenal gland autoimmune disease). So as you can imagine we have a very busy household. Recently, I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition and saw my health deteriorating and thus forced me back to examining "how did I get to this stage of health?" I have 35 years of medical background training and have researched many alternative health areas in a quest to help myself and my family. It is from this experience that I am hoping to help you come to an area of greater health in your mind, body, and spirit.
